Self awareness is the key to personal growth. Because only then you will know and understand what to be corrected.

HOW TO build self awareness?
Being an observer of your own thoughts is the first step towards Self Awareness. While running in the rat race trap, most people don’t stop to observe their thoughts. What if you can sit and practice to eventually do it during tough situations.

 That is simply the benefit of meditation, Building the mind muscle to pause and respond, instead of reacting to triggers right away assuming the worst.
Meditation can help you to observe your own thoughts. There are many kinds of meditation.

My favourite one is non guided, where you comfortably sit on the floor and allow your thoughts to flow and try, ONLY TRY, to focus on your breath in and out. Focus on the sound of your breath, the temperature, where is it flowing now. Being present is the major part of mindfulness.


Some Challenges you could face:
1. Guilt about Inconsistencies
2. Trauma thoughts flowing non stop
3. Being bored on a long run

Solutions
1. Set an alarm or schedule and JUST DO IT. When we do, we think less.(True Solution for Overthinking btw)
2. Say thank you to your thoughts, they are only helping you. And acknowledge that it will be handled.
3. Try different kind of meditations when it starts boring, do more of what works and nudges you to take realistic BETTER actions.
